GeorgeMCLAUGHLINOf Timperley, Cheshire, formerly of Mountcharles, Donegal, preceded by his wife Nora (née O'Donnell). Died peacefully at Moya Cole Hospice, Heald Green, on 18th November 2025, with his family by his side and Fortified by the Rites of Holy Mother Church. Sadly missed by his children, Jennifer, Donna, Amy and John; son-in-law Emmanuel and daughter-in-law Kirsty, grandchildren Leo-Paul, Emilie, Cameron, Finlay and Owen, brother Michael and sister Mary (Connolly), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Hugh's R.C. Church, West Timperley on 9th December 2025 at midday followed by interment in Dunham Lawn Cemetery.

Family flowers only please but donations in lieu for CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) and SVP (The St Vincent de Paul Society)

I still have a very strong childhood memory from the 1970’s of a days fishing trip that Uncle George brought myself and my brother Michael on to Lough Golagh in Donegal.
Rest in peace George.
My heart felt and deepest sympathies to Jennifer, Donna, Amy and Johnny, my Dad and Auntie Mary and all the rest of the family.

Dear Uncle George will be sadly missed. We all looked up to him and he was a man we all strived to be. One who cared for others and would do anything for his family.

Deepest and heartfelt condolences to George's immediate and extended family. A man of strong faith who exuded all that is good in a human being. A person of true integrity, charity and kindness. Wise beyond words with that Donegal flyfisher wit.
The world is poorer for your passing, George.
